Frequently asked questions
Before your first visit
The questions we hear most often. For anything else, call or text us.
I'm not in pain. Should I still come in?
Pain is often the last thing to show up. Long before it does, the structure and function of the body can change without you feeling it. Coming in without pain is like seeing the dentist without a toothache: you prevent instead of waiting.
Is chiropractic regulated?
Yes. In Quebec, chiropractic is a profession regulated by a professional order. A licence requires a five-year university doctorate, 245 credits in all, followed by a national exam.
Is it safe?
Dr. Occean assesses your condition before proposing anything, and adapts the technique to your age and your state of health. The most common effects are mild soreness or a temporary increase in symptoms, usually lasting less than 24 hours. Bring up any concerns at your first visit.
How much does a visit cost?
A new patient visit is $180 and takes about 1 hour. A follow-up is $70 and takes 15 min. Your receipt is emailed to you, for your insurer.
How do I book?
Online, any time, through our schedule on Jane. You can also call or text us at 438 834-9226. Spots fill up quickly: if nothing works for you, write to us.
